German  Exchange 2008

The German group and their teacher, Frau Bachl, arrived on Wednesday 5 March and stayed for one week.

They attended school at JAGS on one day but on the other school days they were taken around London to see a few sights, such as the Aquarium, the London Dungeon, and Mr Beamish, father of Amelia Tudor-Beamish in Yr 9C showed them around the House of Lords, where he works, and the House of Commons.

On the most active day they visited Greenwich where they walked up to the Observatory, then back to catch a river boat to Westminster. From there they walked to Buckingham Palace in the rain and then, on their own request, they walked to the Horse Guards Parade.

They made up for all that walking on the last day which was dedicated to shopping.

All JAGS girls got on really well with their partners and we are now looking forward to spending a week in Nuremberg at the beginning of the summer holidays.
