Autumn News
We came back in the very English season of mists and mellow fruitfulness, to hear, a little enviously, of trips with the Spanish department to Barcelona, the French department to Montpellier, the Italian department to Venice and the Geography department to Morocco. Nearer to home, Mr Luttick, Mr Davies and several volunteers tackled the South Downs with those taking the Duke of Edinburgh Silver Award. All the girls who went on these trips and expeditions were a credit to JAGS. Thanks are due to the teachers and other staff who gave up their half-term holiday to enable these fantastic experiences.
If you had been in New York for the Marathon on Sunday 2 November, you would have seen Spanish teacher Clare Martin, who powered her way home in 2 hours 55 minutes, an astonishing 4th place of the British women, 48th woman overall. What can we say? We are so impressed! More news will follow of this and all the half-term events.
Congratulations to the Hans Woyda mathematics quiz team who are through to the next round of this national competition, having beaten Dulwich College by a healthy 5 points!
