Late GCSE re-marks lead to improved results, as Board admits error.

JAGS heard on 24 October that every girl had had one module of her GCSE English Literature re-marked, following several enquiries about the results.  20 GCSE grades have been increased.  This has affected the overall results by raising the number of girls achieving 10 A* from 10 to 18.  In summary, one girl achieved 11 A*, 18 girls achieved 10 A*, 10 girls achieved 9 A* and 10 girls achieved 8 A*.  It is unfortunate that it has taken two months for the Examination Board to admit its error.
